Traveling by plane, you will arrive in Riga International Airport - the largest and busiest airport in the Baltic States. The international designation of Riga Airport is RIX.

From January to November (including) 2010, Riga airport's passenger count exceeded 4 million. It is possible to fly to 82 destinations from Riga International Airport.

 

The airport is situated only 10 km away from the capital of Latvia - Riga. 
In order to get to the city centre, you have to take a bus or a taxi.

Look for taxi outside the Airport terminal. A ride to the city centre takes about 15 minutes and costs approximately 8-10 LVL. If you are not in a rush and would like to spare your budget, take the bus (No. 22 and 22A) which runs every 20-30 minutes. The ride (bus stop “Katedrale” if you take bus 22A or bus stop “13.Janvara iela” if you take bus 22) takes approximately 30 minutes and the ticket fare is 0.70 LVL (about 0,996 Euro). Ask the bus driver for the ticket.
